Speaking

Alison speaks to college audiences, at career conferences and at media industry gatherings on the subjects of career development and breaking into the publishing business. She co-created a day-long seminar for Harvard seniors called LAUNCH U. — What’s Your Story? to help students match their skills and dreams with real-life professional opportunities. She has also spoken on career advice panels for the Columbia Publishing Course and mediabistro.com.

Alison is a frequent television and radio guest to discuss the business, technology, women’s issues and sports stories that she has written and edited for ESPN The Magazine and Fast Company. She has appeared on CNBC, ABC’s World News Now, Tech TV’s The Screensavers and ESPN2’s First Take. From 2001-2002, Alison hosted a technology interview show on Radio Singapore International called On The Line From Silicon Valley.
