As an editor, I was the first woman to run a national sports magazine when I became editor in chief of ESPN: The Magazine in 2016. As a senior executive, I integrated diverse teams to create unified content organizations across digital, video, audio, live and print to create ESPN’s Journalism & Storytelling division, and we told some of the most ambitious, multilayered, cross-platform stories in the industry. In 2021, I launched Oprah Winfrey’s new multiplatform lifestyle brand with Hearst Magazines, pioneering interactive livestream classes to bring her signature wellness content to a modern digital audience. I have a business brain and a storyteller’s soul, which means that now, as a strategist and creative content consultant, I work with a wide range of brands and organizations to figure out what stories they have to tell—and where and how best to tell them.
